Southwest General Health Center Emergency Response System (ERS)

Southwest General's ERS provides a 24-hour-a-day, direct link to the Lifeline Call Center. A personal help button, which you wear as a pendant or wristband, activates a small in-home communicator. Within seconds of pushing the button, your call will be answered by one of Lifeline's representatives who have your important information, such as contact names and phones numbers, readily available. You do not need a doctor's prescription to receive this service. The cost of the program is $33 per month for the CarePartner Communication button. In addition, there is a one-time enrollment fee of $35. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time without penalty.

It takes between one and two hours to donate. Platelets may be donated every two weeks.
