Hospice services provide in-home care or residential facility care to terminally ill individuals focusing on quality, compassionate care at the end of life. Hospice services are available to individuals with life threatening illnesses who can no longer benefit from therapeutic treatment and have life expectancies of six months or less, as determined by a physician. Hospice focuses on the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the individual and family. Special emphasis is placed on relieving pain and other symptoms and making the final days of life as full and meaningful as possible.
